Passport requirements for Turkey
The Turkish government advise that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Turkey and that there is a full blank page for the entry and exit stamps
Turkish Visa Prior to departure from the UK
Your visa must be obtained ahead of travel (unless Turkey have waived the requirement – you should check up to date travel information as this is subject to change)
You cannot obtain this at the airport any longer
To book your e-visa prior to entry to Turkey visit the official site which you can find here. Beware that there are lots of scam sites which charge and do not provide official visas
The Turkish Visa must be in hard copy/print format
Your departing airport may ask for proof of possession prior to departure
Turkish Visa whilst in resort
You must carry your e-visa with you at all times during your stay
The local police (Jandarma) conduct regular spot checks and may ask to see your Turkish Visa – this is to aid them in preventing illegal immigration
Boarding pass
UK departure - ensure that you:
• Have possession of travel operator boarding passes or
• Checked in online and carry evidence of this or print any boarding passes
UK return journey
Dalaman airport is not e-boarding pass ready yet (dated October 2020)
